what coverage offers our warranty:
HSTI’s HydraScout probes are warranted to function properly and to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of use estimated to be at least five years from the date of shipment of the original product from our factory stock. This warranty agreement is limited to the original purchaser (Distributor).
During this period, HSTI will repair or replace, at its sole option, any defective component where such malfunction results from normal use of the product (*see restrictions below).
During the first two years following the date of shipment of the products from our factory stock, HSTI-France will reimburse the Distributor in full in the event of failure of one of its products. The Distributor will be responsible for ensuring the return of the defective product to the factory stock from which this product originates and HSTI-France will be responsible for the replacement of the said product and its re-routing to the Distributor;
During the following three years, HSTI-France will reimburse the Distributor on a sliding scale in proportion to the duration of use of the products, namely:
- for products found to fail in year 3, warranty coverage will be 60% of the original value, as the products will have already been satisfactorily used for the first two years.
- for products found to fail in year 4, warranty coverage will be 40% of the original value, as the products will have already been satisfactorily used for the first three years.
- for products found to fail in year 5, the warranty coverage will be 20% of the original value, as the products will have already been used satisfactorily for the first four years.
Beyond year 5, this guarantee is no longer applicable, but HSTI-France will nevertheless be able to provide a repair estimate on request.
warranty application restrictions?
This warranty does not apply in the following cases:
i) – Cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks and dents;
ii) – Consumable parts, such as batteries, unless the product is damaged due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
iii) – Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire or other acts of nature or external causes; As such, major shocks or prolonged exposure of the product to the sun can cause irreversible damage which is not covered in the scope of this warranty.
iv) – Damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized service provider of HSTI; As such, installations that are not carried out by HSTI’s agent-installers and/or distributors constitute a clause that restricts the scope of this warranty.
v) – Damage to a product that has been modified or altered without the written permission of HSTI;
vi) – Damage to a product that has been connected to power and/or data cables that are not supplied or specified by HSTI.
OTHER PRECISIONS ABOUT OUR WARRANTY?
Further, HSTI reserves the right to deny warranty claims against products or services obtained and/or used in violation of the laws of any country or state. This product is intended to be used only according to the instructions given by the manufacturer HSTI-France and should not be used for other purposes.
The Warranties and remedies contained herein are exclusive and in lieu of all other Warranties, express, implied or statutory, including any liability arising from any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, legal or otherwise.
Under no circumstances can HSTI-France be held liable for specific or collateral, direct or indirect damages, including and without limitation, financial losses resulting from the use, misuse or inability to use the product or product defects.
This Warranty gives you specific legal rights which vary from country to country and state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. In this case, the above limitations may not apply to you.
How do I activate my warranty?
To be validly activated, the warranty for Hydrascout probes must be registered on the company’s warranty portal.

how to repair?
HSTI, through its authorized representative or its Distributors, retains the exclusive right to repair or replace (with a new or recently serviced replacement) the meter or software or offer a full refund, or part of the purchase price at its sole discretion.
This process will be your sole and exclusive recourse in the event of recourse to the use of your Guarantee, provided however that you have previously registered and activated your Guarantee following your act of purchase, as indicated in the previous paragraph.
To obtain warranty service, contact HSTI-France or your authorized representative or dealer for shipping instructions and a tracking/RTM number (return to manufacturer number).
If returning equipment for technical diagnosis, carefully package the unit and include a copy of the original sales receipt, which is required as proof of purchase for warranty repairs. Clearly write the tracking number on the outside of the package.
Ship the unit, transportation charges prepaid, to HSTI or its authorized representative or reseller.

It is in your own interest to copy the serial number of your probes below upon receipt of it and to keep this document in a safe place, because you will need it to file a warranty activation request with our service. technical ( support@hydrascout.co )
